Amber Grant for Women
RollingWomensNet · Private
Three $15,000 grants every month, plus three $75,000 year-end grants.
Monthly. Applications close on the last day of every month, and winners are announced by the 21st of the following month.
Who qualifies
- Woman-owned business
- One application enters you for both the monthly grant and the year-end grant
Who does not qualify
- Businesses that are not majority women-owned
How to apply
- Apply online before the month-end deadline
- Describe the business and what the money would do
Not Georgia-specific; open across the US and listed here because Georgia applicants qualify. The widely republished figures of $10,000 monthly and $25,000 annual are out of date. As of 27 October 2026 it is $15,000 and $75,000.
MEDC Capital Access
RollingMichigan Economic Development Corporation, with participating banks and lenders · State
Set by the lender, not by MEDC. Covers the Loan Participation Program, Collateral Support Program and Capital Access Program.
Rolling, through a participating lender rather than MEDC.
Who qualifies
- Michigan small businesses seeking bank finance
- You must be working with a participating lender, as MEDC supports the loan rather than issuing it
Who does not qualify
- Anyone looking for a grant. This is lending and it is repaid, whatever grant directories classify it as
- Businesses that cannot get a lender to take the application forward
How to apply
- Approach a participating bank or lending institution
- The lender applies the MEDC support to your loan
Listed because Michigan's state-level small business support is overwhelmingly this, not grants, and that is the single most useful thing to know before spending a week looking. Recorded as a loan so it cannot be mistaken for free money.
Match on Main
ClosedMichigan Economic Development Corporation, delivered through local governments and downtown organisations · State
Closed. The 2026 window ran 1 March to 24 April 2026, with a 20 April deadline. No 2027 window has been announced.
What you put in
A cash match from the business, commonly 10% of the award
Who qualifies
- Sells products or services face to face from a physical location in an eligible district
- Headquartered in Michigan, for-profit or non-profit
- In a community designated Essentials or Certified Redevelopment Ready, or a Select or Master level Michigan Main Street community
- Has, or intends to have, control of the site being applied for
- Has not previously received Match on Main support
Who does not qualify
- You cannot apply yourself. Small businesses do not apply to MEDC directly: a local government or downtown organisation applies on your behalf, so if yours will not sponsor you there is no route in
- Businesses outside a Redevelopment Ready or Michigan Main Street community
- Businesses that have had a Match on Main award before
- Online-only businesses, because the programme requires face-to-face trading from a physical site
How to apply
- Check whether your community is a Redevelopment Ready or Michigan Main Street community
- Approach your local government or downtown development authority, because they are the applicant
- They submit through the MEDC portal during the window
- The grant is reimbursed to the business on project completion
Michigan's main small business grant, and it is shut as of 27 October 2026. The structural catch matters more than the money: the business never applies, the community does, so a town that does not take part leaves its businesses with no way in at all.
