Once you’ve enabled 2FA, logging into your Upmetrics account will require not only your password but a unique code generated by an authentication app. This two-step process helps prevent unauthorized access, even if someone manages to obtain your password.
The setup is simple and only requires a few steps with popular authentication apps such as Google Authenticator or Authy.

Financial forecasting tool enhancements: New Capital Group, COS, and Loan Features
1. Multiple capital group support added.
Earlier, Upmetrics users were limited to a single default capital group for each section under Working Capital—including funding, assets, and dividends.
This meant that different funding sources like investor capital, SBA loans, and grants all had to be combined in the same group, making it harder to differentiate and manage them individually.
With our latest update, you can now create multiple capital groups across funding, assets, and dividends. This enhancement allows you to better organize and track various funding sources, asset types, and dividend distributions.

1) Separate funding groups: Organize funding sources individually, whether it’s an investor capital, loan, or grant.
2) Distinct asset categories: Manage different asset types in their own groups for clearer tracking.
3) Customized dividend groups: Set up multiple groups for different dividend plans to simplify your financial projections.
2. Moving finance items between Cost of Sales (COS) and Expenses
With our recent update, Upmetrics makes it easier than ever to keep your financial records organized and accurate. Now, you can transfer finance items between Cost of Sales (COS) and Expenses to ensure your financial data aligns perfectly with your business reporting needs.
Here’s what this update includes:
1) Easily re-assign finance items: Move items from COS to Expenses or vice versa with just a few clicks. This flexibility is ideal for cases where certain costs need to be reclassified to better reflect financial performance.
2) Manage Dependent Finance Items: For finance items that are linked to others (like child items connected to a parent), Upmetrics now provides a way to manage these dependencies effectively.
When you move a parent item, all associated items automatically follow, ensuring consistency in your financial data.
3. Improved loan management with interest and repayment calculations in working capital
Our latest update to Upmetrics’ working capital feature introduces new options to make your financial forecasting even more precise and adaptable. Here’s what’s new about loan management:
1) Interest Start Date: You can now specify the exact date when interest on a loan begins, allowing for more accurate calculations and planning.

A business tagline is just a short, one-line sentence, but we all know how long it takes to come up with an attention-grabbing and impactful business tagline.
While Upmetrics AI writing assistant mostly takes care of everything, writing a business plan, a custom feature for tagline was needed.
Previously, users had to manually enter the tagline while setting up the workspace. Now, you can generate a few tagline options in an instance with the “Suggest with AI” option.
